X-Tray – in accordance with the highest standards

Axelent’s X-Tray cable tray range is a premium brand within the segment, one of the reasons for its ever-increasing popularity in the stringently controlled food industry.

In order to create and maintain a premium brand like X-Tray, you must of course comply with regulations and requirements, but staying at the forefront requires a little forethought. This is why Axelent became a member of the European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group (EHEDG).

Certifications are normal within the industry and are proof of a company or product meeting the requirements (within safety, for example). Hygiene certifications from EHEDG are becoming increasingly common. EHEDG spans across several areas in their efforts to ensure that products, materials and even design intended for the food and pharmaceutical industries are certified as safe.

EHEDG (founded in 1989) is a European non-governmental organisation aimed at promoting hygienic design and food technology to ensure safe consumer products. The onus has always been on meeting production chain challenges in order to secure more controlled products for the consumer. This is done with the help of standards, recommendations and certifications written and compiled by members from different areas, including equipment manufacturers, food industries, research institutes and public health authorities. EHEDG is now the most global player in the field. The USA’s equivalent, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), is well-known and respected, but EHEDG’s standards are regarded as leading also outside of Europe.

EHEDG membership shows that Axelent cares about hygienic design and maintaining the highest standards. The more controlled and regulated the food industry becomes, the safer the products that reach the consumer.
